UNIAPAC International naznanja izdajo poročila Latin American Economic Outlook 2025

Dear members of UNIAPAC,

We are very pleased to announce the launch of the Latin American Economic Outlook (LEO) 2025, the flagship report of the OECD on Latin America and the Caribbean.

This region continues to face persistent productivity and inclusion gaps. Despite the growth of digital industries and the region’s vast renewable energy potential, structural bottlenecks prevent these resources from being fully leveraged. The 2025 edition of LEO explores why Latin America and the Caribbean must strengthen institutions, mobilise sustainable finance, attract investment in renewable and digital sectors, upgrade skills, and embed sustainability principles at the core of development strategies.

The report also examines the role of productive development policies in fostering productivity, supporting structural transformation, and promoting economic diversification. In many countries in the region, weak co-ordination across government ministries and limited budgets undermine policy implementation. LEO 2025 underscores the need for stronger participation from the private sector and civil society, as well as enhanced international partnerships, to unlock untapped economic opportunities.

You will find enclosed more information and the full report of the OECD.

We hope these materials spark your interest and contribute to the ongoing discussion on the region’s development pathways.

Kindest regards,
Rodrigo Whitelaw
Secretary General of UNIAPAC
